When I saw the sketch for today's challenge which was based on this card by dizzymommie Full of Possibilities by dizzymommie at Splitcoaststampers I decided I wanted to keep playing around with the technique from Monday and colors from Tuesday! I used a piece of acetate and swiped it with ink then spritzed with water and used my heat gun between colors. I did each color separately this time. The end result reminded me of a storm. I knew I wanted to put a flourish in the corner and then stamp a silhouette image. I rummaged through my stamps until I had an aha moment with the Wanted set and decided to go with a horse image. I used the technique of stamping with full ink first then moving the stamp to the left and stamping again and moving left and stamping again to simulate movement. (I have had the Doors song Riders on the Storm playing in my head ever since!) I distressed the edges then mounted on a frame of Night of Navy and distressed its edges. The sentiment piece is stamped with the paisley pattern with stamped off ink then with the greeting in full ink. The bg was made by inking the Distressed Texturz plate with Crumb Cake and a bit of Chocolate Chip ink then embossing the Crumb Cake base with it. I distressed these edges a bit too. I pulled a piece of burlap string and added an accent to the image panel.

I tried the distress, but I think I had too much water spritzed on and my cs was wrinkled! Maybe another time.... I absolutely love how yours turned out though! Beautiful, Gail!

Fabulous! These colors are great with the distressing technique, and love the shadows of the horse. And now, I have the same song stuck in my head, thank you very much! Lol! ;)
