I had searched through Jen's (MissBoo) gallery to find a card to CASE in her honor as Queen and found this great card HYCCT1124 - Thanks so much by Miss Boo at Splitcoaststampers (and many others!). I thought the layout would work well with the card I had in mind when I saw this piece http://www.etsy.com/listing/78335112...roidered-flour from the inspiration challenge website Embroidery Everywhere.
I ended up with three cards with slight variations. I took a piece of burlap dp and stamped first with straight Riding Hood Red ink, then tried inking with the red, removing some ink and adding Soft Suede marker, and then I inked with Crumb Cake and added red and suede marker. I cut the dp strip from Well Worn and sponged on the edges of 2 with red. I cut the Top Note die cuts in Textured Soft Suede and sponged the edges of those. Each card is sponged on the edges and the sentiment pieces are sponged as well. One got distressed hemp and the others the baker's twine I picked up at Crate and Barrel. I couldn't decide on a favorite so I took a picture of the trio together! These are going in my pastor/husband's stash of cards.
