This set is filled with heart, because it is a case of one of the sweetest stampers ever, my Texan Sistah Joanie. I am thrilled to see Joan as the QFTD, and to gander thru her gallery once again filled me with memories of my early SCS days, and the many after-midnight chats we used to enjoy. (I can't stay up past 8:30 now!) Lol. Joan, your crafting has influenced me since I began, and still I am in awe of your beautiful work, and your beautiful heart. I hope your reign as Queen this week is a blessing to you! {{{Hugs}}}
I chose Gone Fishing, because I loved this project, and it features fish! This tin box set is going to Chip, you can read about him in MMTPT167. Chip is in need of encouragement and is a fisherman, so this set from Joan's gallery seemed perfect. I kept the same image Joanie used, and added a black & white striped DP on the inside to represent Chip's "referee" side.
The Scripture on the tags are from three different sets at ODBD, and were stamped in white on blackboard paper tags, and tied with hemp. I added a metal fishing spinner to hold them together. The challenge on the Twisted Sister Bus this week was to use metal- so I have that covered in the tin boxes, brads and spinner.
The small round box is a candy tin from Michael's. I removed the plastic top and stamped SU's Cheesecloth in black Stazon, and added olive colored Bazzill to the outside. The fish were watercolored, and have a coat of Crystal Effects.
Joanie, have a wonderful week, you sweet lil Stamper! LYMI!
Thanks for looking.

Hi Pat, how lovely to see you here this morning, and with such a beauty as this. The card is wow and fantastic - I can almost smell the cedars smell of all that greenery as Chip brushed through it walking to the lake to fish, but then when I got to noticing details, the cheesecloth pattern on the little tin is totally wonderful.

Fantastic CASE Pat! Love that fisherman, standing in the cedars as he casts his line from the bank of a trout filled stream. Quite the catch of shiny fish too! Great idea to use the spinner to hold your tags together!

Pat! This is a wonderful collection and how great it fits 42,000 challenges as well - now that is multi-tasking at its best!!! Seriously, I totallly love this group of magical treats. Chip will flip! I would love to case this but it is level Bazillion and out of my league. I do want to try that candy tin though for my daughter's boyfriend - it would make a fun Christmas treat. LYMIMIMI!!!
