Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for this week is “Holiday with a Twist”. Create your own holiday project or card (Christmas or Thanksgiving) but it must use an ODBD stamp. See all the details Saturday, October 15, 2011 on ODBD's Design Blog and use the keyword ODBDSLC80 so we can enjoy your creations too!
This week I chose a new release, Christmas Door and it was so much fun! I stamped two images in VersaMark, and used Silver Embossing Power. Cutting the door panels and steps from one image, I mounted them on foam tape before adding to the first image. I stamped a third image on dark green Bazzill, and cut out only the garland, adding Ivory colored Flower Soft, Twinklets Chunky Diamond Dust and Clear beads. In fact, I used an entire jar of glass beads between the wreath in the door and the garland around it! I used Crystal Effects to adhere it all so there would be a sheen it all all once dry.
The sentiment is also from the Christmas Door set, and is framed using Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3. This tag is mounted over a textured background, using the Cuttlebug's Holly Ribbons Embossing Plate. There is a small silver brad for the door knob, but it kinda got lost with everything else going on. I added a small red gingham bow for a splash of color. The inside sentiment comes from this set as well and reads "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy" Psalm 126:3. What more could you ask for!
Thanks for looking!
P.S. Tonda, the silver paper is the best! Thanks so much! Hugs....

Shhhh!! if i'm very, very quiet, I can hear this whispering peace and purity and see the Master's hand of creativity working through His gifted servant. I LOVE that you would not hold back anything and empty an entire jar (just like Mary!) to create just what was in your heart to create. Expertly and lovingly accomplished. Pryanka said it: Wow, Mama, Wow!!!
