Collette challenged us to make a bookmark for today's Ways to Use it (in keeping with the back to school theme). I chose to make a bookmark with matching case to give as a gift for a teen girl who loves to read.
The bookmark is 2 1/4" x 6 1/4". I started with paper from the Recollections Signature pad called Portobello Road, stamped it with my new fave set, Creative Elements, and Charming, and cropped the top with a Spellbinder nestie. Butterflies are clear embossed. The sentiment is matted with the same curly label but turned 90 degrees.
The case was made with a base of 5 1/2" x 6 3/4". Pictures for how to are on sharonstamps blog, Nov. 2009. The top was punched with a 1 1/4" circle punch. You have to punch the top 2 layers first, then layer it and punch the bottom or it won't go through.
Thanks for the challenge, Collette! Super idea for a gift.

LOL... fabulous project, wonderful stamping and great use of that stamp set, also one of my favorites
To clear up some confusion... the person who actually posted the tutorial in November of 2007 (not 2009) was fabulous SCS DT queen Sharon L. Johnson whose blog is notimetostamp.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful bookmark and sleve...
