I had been wanting to play along in this week's CAS136 challenge using leaves, but had not gotten around to it. I also wanted to honor this week's Queen Liz (aka Lazylizard), and when I saw this card from her gallery, I knew how I wanted to CASE her card as well as tying in the CAS challenge. Here is Liz' card:
Have you seen Liz' gallery. My Oh My - she has almost 3,000 cards in her gallery (maybe it is more). She is a busy lady, and a talented one at that.
I flipped the card vertically, changed the colors, used leaves instead of flowers, added an additional half panel behind the leaves, and added 3 brads in the upper corner. I also turned the middle square rather than keeping all three squares straight. I sponged the edges of each white square, and added a brad on two corners of the middle leaf panel. I meant to emboss the background panel, but forgot - but sometimes less is more
Liz, thanks so much for the inspiration - and thanks to all who stop by and take a look. Hope you like it

Bless your heart if you browsed through that entire gallery. I guess it is more like a file cabinet to me rather than a gallery. LOL This is a great way to have a picture so I can get rid of the example by sending it to someone or selling it. Your card certainly is gorgeous. I'm glad you made it a lovely fall card. I love the turing leaves, but here in my part of the world we only have two seasons---summer and winter. Thanks for indulging me in the true beauty that fall really is. I've had a lovely day!

Barb, what a beautiful card for both challenges. You did spectacular fall leaves with your shadings of various colors on each one. Love the subtle stripe DP and the pretty bg CS color.
