I didn't have to look far in Lisa's gallery to see something that inspired me today (tho, of course, I looked thru her whole lovely gallery): Embossed Acetate by llwright at Splitcoaststampers. I was drawn to the distressed, molten background with just some simple embossing and simple stamping. Katie (pbvkt) had sent me a very helpful Tim Holtz video on using distressed inks and, tho I don't have any (yet), I played with the technique.
Changed the colors, embossed the background card stock and changed the image. Purple is my friend Carol's favorite color in all the world and she will like this card, I hope. It's kind of dark, but we are both Capricorns and are drawn to wintery colors! (:>

OMGOSH! Wish you had a video to show how you made this lucious background! It's WUNDERBAR! I see the winter but I also see the spring with the green. I love the beauty but simplicity of the card. I'm totally faving this card. TFS

Just getting back to comment on the rest of yesterday's FS cards today - and I'm so impressed with this bg you created - just perfect for the tree silhouette and a Halloween card! Wonderful colors and embossing too!

Boy, do I wish I knew how to do what you've done here. Your card is spectacular. It might be dark, as you say, but isnt that what halloween is all about? I love the tree. I just love the whole darn card to be honest.
