Wonderful challenge! Most every card I make has something recycled on it (or under it - like cereal boxes). As my DH will tell you, I tend to save a lot of stuff for later use. On this one, the usual cereal box cardboard is under the flower (for lift and stability) and also the buttons are recycled. I have a bunch of them that I took off of something a long time ago.
All images are Innovative Stamp Creations. I stamped the poppy twice, colored both w/ markers, cut one complete poppy and a portion of the flower petals and one leaf from the second. The partial flower was attached under the main flower and I attached it to a large background stamped with the Ledger image.
The sentiment was die cut using a tag die and I added some little red banner die cuts and the recycled buttons. I used a border punch for the red layer and the finished card measures 4.25 x 5.50.
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups of this new release are on my blog: The Write Stuff

I must admit that I too get through a lot of cereal boxes to add stability to diecuts. This is gorgeous, love your poppies and the use of Banner Basics. I've been contemplating that one for a while, nice to see other ideas of how it can be used.

Hey Julie....love how your card turned out. I am way behind as I was on holiday for 2 weeks then my stamps didn't arrive (postal strike in Canada backlogged) till I started my time off. I was gone so now I need to work to caught up.
You are amazing....you know that I love what you create. You have such a great eye for colours....
hugs,
K

Lovely! I have some really cool buttons off a truly hideous dress from the 90's with a huge collar and giant shoulderpads...great way to recycle. You did a nice job coloring on the pretty flower.
