Today we were to case the first card we ever favored. I favored this one way back in 2005. I was drawn to the faux mosaic tile......details....
Julie did such a fine job on this card. Her tiled frame really intrigued me. Today I went at it a little different. Before work, I stamped a marble bg on cs using pacific point, clear ep after. Cut this panel into squares then put diamond glaze over top of each.
Got home and my tiles were dry and ready to be "layed" hehe. I made a frame, then instead of just gluing them on I put a layer of light modeling paste on my frame for a grout look, then placed on my faux tiles. Put it out in the sun to dry, then the oven to speed things up.
For the center, I drew four squares and colored them with sharpie markers. PUt a layer of glass beads over top then took this outside to dry. While waiting, found this flower on my table and cut it out.
After everything was dry, I sponged on a little tea dye on the frame to age it a bit. Put this all on a white AC cs card adding the ribbon/bow I tied with a bow maker.
Things I changed: flipped layout, frame larger and left off the sentiment.
Thanks Holly for a fun challenge!........TFL :0)

Oh-my-goodness this is simply stunning! I love your tiles, both glazed and beaded. The color combination is fantastic. So cool that you used clay "grout" - what a fantastic idea and it looks wonderful. Beautiful CASE, beautiful card.
