For Lydia's challenge. I painted up some chipboard flower petals, but when my background was made they were too big, sure hope I can use them for something else. And yikes, two of my Maya Road birds have flown the nest in one day, definitely time to re-order them.
A2 base painted with blue acrylic.
Background paper is page from an old book painted with the same blue, and then stamped with the leaves from Rose in Winter. I tore it and stuck it to the base.
Maya Road chipboard - bird painted white, sponged with Tea Dye and stamped with a Hero Arts script stamp. Branch was painted with pearlescent copper acrylic for shimmer. I added an Inkadinkado sentiment and some fabric flowers.
Hey Lydia, d'you see how blue it is. That's the power of suggestion - all I was thinking of was that you use book pages a lot .
