iT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE THAT'S MY CHESTER! THE JESTER TESTER! WATCH OUT! HIS MOOD'S ABOUT TO FESTER
This week our destination is Myersville, Maryland. Jake is 13 years old who has had many surgeries since his birth. He's a happy, fun loving young fellow that has had too many surgeries in his young life. Jake just celebrated his 13th birthday on July 8th and surgery number 17 is on the schedule. His summer will be spent recovering and he will need some happy mail.
I found my Jester on line - from a colouring page site. Coloured with Tombow markers and cut out. I had the striped dp in my stash - perfect for my card - almost exactly like on the teapot. I coloured the large polka dot embossing folder dots with a black marker and embossed on white cardstock to get the polka dot bg. Cut out the top note in mustard and black. Sponged around the mustard panel. Cut out the computer generated sentiment with spellbinders die. Used my large scalloped border punch. Added the silver brads, stars and cording. Sewed around the edges. Added Tinsel Stickles to his hat, mask and shoes and around the Knock Knock sentiment. Chester the Jester is popped up as well and the sentiment.
Inside the card says
"Who's there,
JESTER!
Jester who?
Jester minute,
I'm trying to find my YoYo!"
I will put this in this month's Fan Club gallery -
"Star Spangled" - theme is Stars, Stripes and polka dots -- my card has all three.
Thanks for looking.
Hugs. Pat

This is a beautifully done, fun card for Jake. How fortunate you were to have just the perfect DP to make this card...it really is a great match to the teapot!

That's a very trendy and funky looking jester you found, nothing old-fashioned about him. And the paper is indeed perfect.
It took me forever making my polka dot paper, as I didn't like it when I tried stamping or doodling. I think it's time to put a polka-dot stamp on my long wishlist - goodness knows, we need them often enough at the tea-party!!

I love when everything comes together...and it truly did, beautifully! Nice image, wonderful papers and embellies and I LOVE the "reflection" / balance in your cut and punched elements. Fantastic card, Pat!
