I'm sure you can all guess I used this Watercolor Cake as the inspiration for this card. I wanted to incorporate the tiered feel without making a shaped card, so as well as having four strips, they're layered at different depths, but it's bedtime here and I don't have time to fiddle around with a better photo till tomorrow.
A2 cream base.
I cut 4 strips of watercolour paper and stamped Oh So Lovely on each one, with fewer flowers each time, using Versafine Olympia Green. Masked the flowers and stamped the foliage from Embrace Life with Forest Moss distress ink.
Coloured the poppies with H2Os, used a water brush to draw out the colour from the stamped foliage and added black Stickles to the centres of the poppies.
I distressed the edges and sponged with Antique Linen.
Bottom layer is on 3 layers of foam tape, next layer on 2, then 1 and the top layer is directly stuck to the base. I added a sentiment from Flourishes to finish it off.
Still undecided as to whether to make the top bloom dimensional - I'll sleep on it and see how I feel.
TFL.

Oh WOW! I love how you did this. Your card design rocks! Fab take on the inspiration.
But you have me curious, how did you get a single pix of the cake? I could not figure out how to link an individual cake. Good job on that!
