As soon as I saw this Petite Cake this morning it reminded me of Playful Petals, and as today is our first Saturday in a month at home with no committiments, I've made another card. I tried one with pansies, but gave up, it wasn't coming together - whereas this one was fun to make. Hard to get a good picture, though - the weather is all over the place today.
Base is cut with the largest Scalloped Circle Nestabilities.
I always cut a full scalloped circle to lay over the base, which can't be a full circle because of needing to be hinged. I also trim the bottom off the two bottom scallops on the back of the card, to help it stand firmly.
Next layer is white card - the temptation was to emboss it, but sheesh, I've spent so many hours trying to get flat icing on cakes, it was nice to have that flat effect easy to get for once . So instead I sprayed it with pearl Glimmer Mist.
I stamped Playful Petals twice on white card with white ink and embossed with white EP, and then sponged with Antique Linen. Both layers are popped up on foam - the bottom layer (and the white circle) has Frosted Lace stickles around the edge, the top layer (and scalloped base) has White Opal Liquid Pearls. I added a little paper rose in the centre.
