Love this colour combo so I tried to put together a quick card. We're hoping to head out for a few days camping tomorrow - the rain and wind kept us from hitching up today - so if we actually get away I may not get another chance to create anything this week.
I even took up the challenge of the 'dessert option' which was to do Christmas in July or some sort of winter theme. Given that we've had about the equivalent of a week or two of semi-decent summer weather since we got home from a warm weather holiday two months ago, I found it VERY difficult to think of S**W and/or W*NT*R but I managed to do it!
My Not Quite Navy ink pad decided to "blow its lid" as I was putting it away. Of course, even though it was the first ever full size SU ink pad I ever bought, it is still the juiciest. What a mess! I will have blue fingers for several days. That's what I get for thinking about W*NT*R in July! Saved the card from getting covered in ink which was a miracle in itself.
PT: Just the one die cut and 2 punches with my slot punch.

Heather, what a beautiful card you've created. Trying to beat zee fruitcake at holiday cards this year are ya? I only have 1 that's worth sending so far. I love your sparkle and I'll have to remember about the slotted punch on either side of that nestie to run ribbon through - have you gotten smarter since warm weather has moved in? Yep, I bet that NQN pad was tryin' to pop out of your hands for the nerve of making a "cold" card. I know you are sooo glad it didn't ruin your card. Now keep those stamp pads and punchez warm while ya can. Have a great camping trip Diz!!

How pretty. What a great die cut to use to highlight this pretty image. Love the embossing in the background as well. You have captured the wintry feel in your card even though I know you don't want to hear that word...lol Just stunning.

Love, love this beautiful image, Izzy. Gosh, I'm certainly glad you saved it from that ink disaster. I would say even nicer things about your card but after the remark about me feeling a tad old (you remember), I'll just say it's BEAUTIFUL. Fooled you, didn't I?
