I love the clean distinctive style of this weeks Queen Vicki aka vdutchr. Her work with several SCS teams and support of her fellow stampers makes her most deserving of this honor. I chose to CASE this card that she posted recently: MAY11VSNE - GKD by vdutchr at Splitcoaststampers
Just recently got this set. Many of the images remind me of coastal Maine, so I tried to evoke that feeling. I stamped the image in Archival sepia on Bazzill textured CS and colored with chalks to give the sense of a fog. Stamped the trees in Memento Bamboo Leaves, masking and stamping off several times again to mimic a foggy place. Cut out a triangle and matted on The paper company teal CS. Ran some Baja through Branches CB EF and mounted the triangle. Matted with Chocolate Chip.Stamped the sentiment on the light blue, added the shadow image (Desert Sand, 1 stamp off), cut & embossed with rectangle Nestie and matted with Chocolate. Stamped the dragonflies on Certainly Celery in Versamark and dusted with Pearl-Ex. Popped up on glue dots. Mounted all on a PTI Ocean Tides card. PT - 1 (& some fussy cutting!)
Vicki, enjoy your reign as Queen. Thank you so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.
