Hello! This card was made for today's Color Combo Challenge: Crumb Cake=Hazelnut Tan and Copics; Dark Purple=Designer paper and Copics; and Ivory= Cream Vanilla 140lb card stock from MFP.
I have to admit this....I KNEW, whatever the colors were going to be today, that I was going to use this stamp. I REALLY wanted to use it, mainly, because Markie said that I had a habit of mimicing previous cards I had made using the same stamp sets. Yes, I guess I do that...Don't you? I mean, I get into a "rut" and I end up CASING myself. Hey, I work, about 15 hours a day...Part of MANY days is spent creating items for WORK! I get home, and my creative side is just BLAH. So, I look at my stamps and the scraps on my stampin' table, and I make the cards on "Auto Pilot." Yep, that's it. I'm on Auto Pilot...MOST of the time! LOL
The background was run through a Sizzix Plaid Texture Folder. The paper is from a Premium Paper Craft Pack.
The image was stamped in Palette Hybrid Ink: Noir. Next, I used Copic colors: BV00, BV08, V04, V15, E97, E33, YR20. I used an Inkssentials pen for the flower centers.
I punched out a few Martha Stewart Hydrangeas and sponged on Adirondack's Ginger for "depth."
What do you think?
Finished card size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Total time to complete: 28 minutes.

Lovely card, Faith, and what an homage to your mother! I tend to make cards that are similar using the same image, too, but in my case it's lack of creative imagination, not exhaustion as it must be in your case!!
