I've been in a funk since last week and couldn't even make cards. On Monday my mom found a lump in her breast, on Friday she had a mammogram, appt. with surgeon and biopsy. Last night she found out that it is for sure cancer and after she has an appt with a plastic surgeon tomorrow she'll be scheduled for surgery within a couple of weeks. It is all happening so fast and it is a lot to soak in at once.
I made myself make a card today; first...I want to send her a card now that we know for sure and second...I really need to keep sane and stamping will help me with that.
So, I did a CAS card with the color challenge colors today. Sponged a bg with Celery and Baja Breeze, stamped the flowers in Stazon then colored them with Poppy and Celery markers and added some gold gel pen highlights. Added a fork bow and sentiment, some Poppy framing and called it done.

This is a beautiful serene card...card making is what helps me when I go through difficult times. I will keep you and your Mother in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry I don't know your name - but I wanted to say that I'm so very sorry for the distress and trouble your mum and those who love her are going through right now - as I write I'm praying that all the treatment she receives will bring complete healing. I'm glad you made a card - this is so very pretty - those red flowers against a soft blue sky are a real sign of hope!
