Hi! This card was made for todayÂ’s Clean And Simple Challenge: The Great Outdoors AND, it was made for todayÂ’s Technique LoverÂ’s Challenge to use handmade tickets on a card.
Lately, Monday Challenges have been something I just could not get enough time to enjoy. So, when I was STILL awake at 11:30PM, I decided to get up and check the challenges! YAHOO! I knew I could participate today!
WellÂ… Markie has to stay out of school until Tuesday or until the fever breaks. His tests were all negative, so that just leaves a big old mystery for us as to what made him so sick. His doctor, sit down for this one, CALLED us EVERY day this week, even the WEEKEND! She was very concerned. Let me also point out, that the child was sent to the hospital twice last week, and the hospital sent him home both times! (One nightmare trip was 14 hours long. I donÂ’t like Emergency Rooms, at all!) Funny thing, the poor child WANTS to go back to school! LOL
Today’s card took, I’m so shocked, only 6 minutes to make. I ran the bottom through a Sizzix Texture Folder called PLAID. Next, the image was stamped in Adirondack’s Espresso. I colored in the image with several different Copics. Next, I cut the ticket and then used a ½” circle punch to make the “ticket sentiment.” I ran a Copic marker around the edge and that was it. The thing that took the most time? The BOW!!! LOL
Finished size: 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
Total time to complete: 6 minutes

Simply wonderful! I love the embossing on the bottom! Poor Markie! 14 hours in the ER must have been a nightmare! I hope he's on the road to recovery now!

Simple, clean and gorgeous.
Faith, what a BEAUTIFUL!! card. I love the embossing at the bottom, the lone tree really pops and your ticket/sentiment/embellishments are a terrific way to finish.
