Hi! This card was made for todayÂ’s Sketch Challenge.
Last Friday, Lois, (Clownmom) and Nicole, (ButterflyEars) met up here in Jacksonville, and we went on a MASSIVE shopping spree! I donÂ’t think IÂ’ve purchased that much stuff in one afternoon in my life! What a GREAT shopping therapy day! We also got to hang out with 3 ladies from Jacksonville, who Lois has met at our stamping retreats, so it was a GREAT time!
However, Markie got sick on Friday night with a 104.6 temperature. I FREAKED out, called the doctor, gave him Motrin and a cold shower. I got his temp down to 103 and the doctor said to keep giving him the Motrin until the fever was gone. Well….Monday it wasn’t gone. We went in to see the doctor who immediately sent us to the hospital! OMGosh! I was freaking out! After all this, we got home after 5AM on Tuesday, with a prescription for an antibiotic for an infection from his recent surgery. However, the fever and the FULL BODY RASH are still there. The child had to endure urine tests, sonograms, x-rays, etc. And, for those of you who are thinking, “It’s got to be Strep…Well, the quick test was negative for that one…” And, the hospital waiting room, as well as the doctor’s office today, had MANY children with the rash and fevers. It’s thought this is a virus. And, now, Markie has a note stating he can’t return to school until NEXT Wednesday! OMGosh! According to the doctor, this takes 12-16 days to go away! I’m so tired of this, and poor Markie is miserable.
On to the card. I decided to use these papers and flowers from a new Premium Paper Craft Pack. I LOVE these flower colors, so I colored the butterfly with coordinating Copic Markers.
Finished card size: 6” x 4 ¾” I had to increase the card size to accommodate the big flowers.
Time to complete: 19 minutes

Faith, I LOVE the colors you used on your card! WOW!!! Brightened up my whole room! I am happy to hear you had a little shopping therapy, however I am so sorry to hear about your son! Last year my daughter had a 105.2 fever and it wouldn't go down for two days... they thought it could have been meningitis... it wasn't. It was some crazy virus, maybe the same? Anyways, I hope your son feels better SOON!! It stinks being sick! Love seeing your cards in the gallery! I've missed them!~

What wonderful vibrant colors! Really makes those white squares stand out to showcase your flowers and butterfly.
