I am a little late to the party, but I'm bringing Hedwig's cousin to the party with this double challenge card. I wanted the owl to be peeking out of his tree, so I die cut an oval in the panel. The handsome owl is snowy white with a lovely wasabi green chest. His beak, nose and heart are Saffron. You can't tell but the base of the owl is embossed. I even used the desert for the color challenge this week- twine. It's the first time I'm using my new woodgrain embossing folder- so fun. I also sponged the wood with Soft Suede.
This will go to a young lady afflicted with MS- Marie- who is wheelchair bound and loves owls. That's why I made the owl white so it stands out against the Pacific Point blue. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

This is just too cute! The color challenge works so well with your cute (and yes, I see it) embossed owl! Love the embossed tree trunk too. After seeing all the adorable owls in the gallery, I'm going to have to break down and order that punch.
