Hi! this card was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: Rooms by Zoya B. I chose this cowboy fabric as my inspiration. And, this card also fits this week's Stampin' B's Challenge to use a song as inspiration. I chose "Raw Hide."
I'm exhausted, but my mind is racing, so stamping is my only resort this late at night. Markie stayed home from school today with a 102 degree temperature. I had to dig through boxes of medication to find an over the counter children's fever reducer. Man...I threw away a LOT of medicine bottles after the recall a few months back. Thank goodness this one passed inspection, because the little guy was red as a beet! I made him take a cool shower and then wrapped him in blankets. His fever broke late in the morning. Then, it was back in the afternoon. Funny, Mark, Sr., went to bed at 3PM! He stayed there, too! I was pretty upset because I had to go home and work from there, with a snoring bear in the bedroom, 2 big boxers running through the house and screaming sickie laughing at tv in the living room!
The card was made using Wanted designer paper from Cosmo Cricket. I stamped the images onto the strip across the middle. The sentiment was curved on the acrylic block to fit the oval. And, I decided to lean that oval to the side. Not quite my usual layout, but I like it! I used a butter knife to shabby up the edges and sponged on Adirondack's Ginger.
