I had some ideas in my head for a card for an upcoming class and this card layout fit so perfectly. This is what came out.
I made the flower with a scallop circle punch. I cut out 4, scrunched them up and folded them in half 3 times. I glued them on a scallop circle base and put a rhinestone brad in the middle. Pretty easy and such a fun flower and a neat way to use a punch! I also used the photo corners punch.
For texture I used an embossing folder in the background and a crimper!

What a beautiful case of Heathers case!! I love the colors and the addition of the flourish on the top note. Also impressed that you chose to use a crimped piece of crdstock in place of the ribbon - nice touch!

Look at all the elements on this card, Trish! Yikes, you've covered all your bases with some really great things. Love the colors too. Ooooh, very pretty indeed.

Trish - love what you've done with this! Totally fun flower - and others must agree since your card has been faved almost 60 times as I type this! Love the colours - this will be a hit at your class, no doubt of that! Sorry to take so long to get around to comment - still catching up after my weekend away. (That and learning how to walk with such a heavy crown on my head - it's still a bit big from Pamzi's swollen head but Peggy got it here in spite of the bitter cold!) Thanks so much for taking the time to swing by my gallery and CASE a card and also, thanks for all the comments. Always appreciated!

Beautiful! Nice colour combo and good use of the crimped cs as a 'ribbon' strip. Lovely handmade flower too! With only the rhinestone brad as the premade embellishment, this is paper crafting at it's best!
