Well this was the perfect website for me today - one of my new years resolutions is to send more cards, specifically to my beautiful grand daughters who don't get as many as they should! Here was my inspiration:
Day before yesterday we said goodbye to my daughter, her husband and Tovah, 6, and Lami 4 for 3,1/2 years as they went to serve in some islands off of Africa. As you can imagine, even though I freely let go, my eyes are still swollen. And as I already knew, stamping is wonderful therapy. I took a break from the feverish stamping I have been doing for the next DD gallery, since I did not stamp the last week or two that they were here....trying to cherish every last moment of hug and cuddle time. I promised them when they left more cards! More emails, more love sent thru the mail then ever!! And I have two more long distance grand daughters, Mady and Chloe, and I have three local ones, Layla, Brooklyn and Olivia Lou.....so I can make lots of kid cards and still need to make more! I loved the inspiration of pink flowers and lady bugs on this site. I looked last night but was too tired to take it on. This style of stamping is so not "me" - a real challenge to think in terms of shapes and bright colors.....anyway, I hope you like it!

What a darling creation, Karen! I know your cards will bring great joy to your family as they are stationed so far away. Like Vicky, I hope the years fly by so they are home with you again. Congrats on being in the dirt pile ... a long overdue honor that you so richly deserve!

Well, I'd never have picked this out from the gallery as yours, Karen - maybe the DD is pushing you out of your normal zone into super-creativity. Fun, sweet and gorgeous. Been thinking of you with the family having left - hugs.
Oops - I don't mean that to sound that you're not normally super-creative, because you are.

Well, I asked Layla which card she liked better and she said... "I like the flower card better mom!" If it's a hit with Layla, it will be a HIT with Tovah and Lami!! Again... you rocked this!!~~
