Congrats to my Punchin' Pal Marisa (aka whiterockmama, aka MamaRitzi) on being named Featured Stamper this week!! I have so many of her cards in my faves I should just favourite her whole gallery. She is a sweetheart and totally deserves this honour.
My youngest daughter turns 21 in two days - oh where has the time gone!!! I chose this card from Marisa's gallery to use as my inspiration for a birthday card. It was the first card of Marisa's that I had added to my favourites.
I changed:
-> the colours to shades of brown (DD loves brown tones)
-> added texture to the flowers and one more of the layers
-> added a ribbon and bow.
Wasn't delighted with my photo when I put it on my computer, but the card is off in the mail so it's all that I have at this point.
I used pearlized paper for all of the layers so it's wonderfully shimmery. Punched some flowers and used the SU embossing folder "Northern Flurries" to emboss them. The bow gave me fits but once I got it even I liked the look.
Congrats Marisa! Enjoy your week. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations and for the wonderful comments you sprinkle so regularly throughout the gallery. Big hugz!
PT: Used 7 different punches (Two are only used on the inside - you have to trust me); Total # of punches: 18!!!

Wow! Great card! I love how the embossed flowers look! I would have never thought to use the northern flurry embossing folder that way, but it looks fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration!

I know your daughter loved this card. Wow those flowers are gorgeous. I love all the pearlized paper and all the embossing. Your perseverance on the bow paid off - it's beautiful.
