Hi! This card fits today's Way's to Use it challenge: Pop! The flowers and sentiment are positioned on the card with pop dots!
I decided to post this card for today's challenge. I was looking through my cards and realized that this one was never posted here! (I need some thank you cards to send to friends who have been a big support to our family this past week.) And, frankly, I wanted to give this to my Dad's neighbor. You see, Mother had 2 big pit bulls. (They had been my brother's dogs...)And, Dad doesn't want them around, as they are a constant reminder of things that have happened. My sister kept saying she wanted to give them to a rescue organization. I said there was no way, as the dogs were "one family" dogs. So, I decided that the male, the less agressive of the two, could come home with me. Well, he got along with my boxers and with Scout, the cocker/beagle mix. However, he killed my poodle. Tears and a sob story will not help this situation, believe me. I was MAD! We took the dog back to my father's house. The next morning my sister called SCREAMING at me accusing me of having the male put down! What? I took the dog back to my father's house. Dad was there and was horrified that the dog had killed my poodle. (The dog had NEVER done anything like that before, was brought up around cats, etc...) I called Dad and he said that the dog was missing! MISSING??? Okay, needless to say, the dog was gone. Mother had BEGGED us NOT to have the dogs put down before she died. She made me PROMISE not to do it. My sister called me several times over the last few days with veiled accusations, etc. I was so upset that I didn't do much but work. (Notice I've been gone from SCS? If not, well, I totally understand.) Then, last night the dog was back! The neighbor called me to say that he had FOUND the dog in his back yard! He said that he had done this in the past, where he would scamper out the front door and head straight for his yard! (And, the neighbor has 3 toy poodles! And, they were PLAYING with Mother's dog. So, I don't think the dog has a "thing" for poodles...) So, now the dog is back at Dad's. And, my sister, called me and believe me, she KNOWS the dog is back, and said, "Well, I just don't know about you." WHAT???????????? LOL I swear...Merry Christmas! Season's Greetings! Love Your Stinky Sister! LOL
So...That's where I've been. That's what I've been doing. And, seriously folks...I'm ready to start the new year...Aren't you??? Heaven only knows what's going to happen! I'm all ready for another year of adventure!
The image was stamped in Adirondack's Pitch Black and colored in with Copic Markers. I used the Copic Airbrush to shade the sentiment oval.

Faith this is gorgeous, sorry your sister is being such a problem for you right now. Trouble is NOT what you need. Glad the dog was returned safe and sound but sooo sorry about your poodle. We had 3 pit bulls from the neighborhood kill all 3 of our 13yr cats last year and still have not gotten over that night of dispare.
You know this is also for Monday's TLC as well - stitching.

This is a beautiful card, Faith! Get lost in your craft and relieve the stress, this is the beauty of what comes from that!
All I can say, speaking from recent experiences with family and illness, stress sucks, and makes us (people, family) do all kinds of weird things. Sometimes they get better, sometimes not. In the end, just be good to yourself!
