I've admired so many lovely cardinals in the gallery, but my MS bird stamps didn't have one - so thought I'd experiment and carefully applied the ink to the whole bird except for the top of his head and then made sure by wiping off any ink which may have been there - after stamping I drew a little tufted head on him - may not be exact but it does give the impression of a cardinal! I based the color scheme on the Kaisercraft dp which is dark cream, teal, and deep red/burgundy. It's not that evident but the panel behind the bird has a beautiful sparkle to it.
The image is actually two stamps put together, the leaves and berries being from another MS bird, it was colored with copics and popped up. I tried to keep the color of the leaves a deep blue green to blend in with the teal. The sentiment is SU's Thank You Kindly and it's popped up. I used sheer ribbon and a teal button to finish off.
