Another card for IC259, for which the inspiration site is Plaid Pony Vintage, a small independent company selling vintage clothing, accessories, and housewares for vintage obsessed guys and gals.
I was really drawn to the vintage aprons. My mom had some just like these. They were so fun to browse! I kept coming back to this Holly and Poinsettia Apron. Last month I bought a small collection of various designer papers for Christmas, and among them was a great holly and poinsettia pattern with updated flair from Cosmo Cricket. I decided to go CAS on this one to let the DP really shine.
The Noel sentiment is from MarkÂ’s Finest Papers and is punched with the new decorative label punch from StampinÂ’ Up! I highlighted the edge of the label with gold lame Smooch (available from MFP). I added red rhinestones and some SU real red grosgrain ribbon, and thatÂ’s all! The time it took for the Smooch to dry was longer than it took to make the whole rest of the card.
This will be another great addition to my growing stack of thank you notes for my family to use after Christmas.
Thanks for looking!
Emily

Beautiful way to show off this pretty dsp! Love what you did w/ the punch and how you made it look layered. Pretty font to the Noel. Perfect my friend.

Wonderful! Glad you let that designer paper do the work. It'd be a shame to cover it up. So, Smooch takes a long time to dry?? I thought the directions on it said it was 'quick-drying'. Well, the Smooch adds a great touch to the edges of your label punch. I just got that punch, too, and the clearance ribbon as well! Happy dance!

Emily, I have this paper too and was struggling with how to use it, but you've nailed it here by leaving it to be enjoyed fully with just a small sentiment and lovely ribbon - so I'll take a leaf out of your book - so bright and pretty!
