Oh my, not only am I late for the tea party, but I also have to sneak in the back door with these cakes. I've come a long way, from the North Atlantic to Massachusetts! It wasn't hard to hitch rides, as I had all of these cakes with me and travellers get hungry, but boy, getting them here in one piece was a challenge! Everyone whom I THOUGHT was generous and brave for giving me a ride, all tried to snitch a cake as I was gathering all of my things together...
I didn't have any irises to bring to the tea party, or any cookies either, but I hope you like my Pumpkin Spice cake with cream cheese frosting, that I made in honor of Evelyn's 88th birthday. It smells like gingerbread, though. Seriously! Happy Birthday Evelyn!!!

So cute, Darla. Your cake is excellent, everyone is raving about it and I noticed that even Bertie ate your cake, instead of flinging it like she does all the other food she gets her hands on. I know that this will put a smile on Evelyn's face for her 88th birthday.
