Congrats, Angela! What a wonderful gallery! I chose Jolly & Joy to case. I kept the holiday theme, button embellie and central word panel, but only used 2 of the colors, changed the images and embossed my background in place of dp. This is also for Tues color challenge, CC296.
For my background, I brayered white c/s using only the turquoise ink from a Kpad, white embossed the lg poinsettia bg image then used bleach and a fine acrylic paint brush to bleach out a few of the flowers. I could have used turq. c/s, but some c/s do not bleach completely to white and I knew the Kpad dye ink would bleach totally out. I backed it w/ a narrow red mat and attached it to a 5.5 x 4.25 white card.
The mistletoe tag was white embossed on turq. c/s and die cut using the ODBD tag die. After embossing the sentiment on white, I used markers and a water brush to quickly add the color. I used a corner rounder on it and the white mat underneath it.
I embossed 2 poinsettias, colored them w/ the markers and die cut them w/ the poinsettia die. Parts of the second flower were layered on the first and a red button was glued to the center. The rest of the poinsettia petals were attached below the tag.
Thanks so much for looking! Enjoy your day, Angela! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Oh, how sumptiously gorgeous - all that white embossing which looks so wintery with the red and turqouise, its just an amazing combination. Love all the layers, particularly on your lovely poinsetta and the addition of the red buttons!

Oh wow, Julie! This is gorgeous! I love the colors...so fun and festive! While there is a lot going on in this card, you've managed to pull it all together effortlessly! Love the poinsettia and sentiment treatment.
