Good Tuesday morning all and Semper Fi (Latin for Always Faithful) to the Marines....This card is destined for a young Marine in Afghanistan........his name is Kyler and he's been deployed since August. He works in the wonderful world of computer communications.......without computers we would be blind........our warfighters' lives depend on it.........my hats off to Kyler. Communication is our first line of defense.....
My card is a tongue in cheek reminder of what life was like before Bill Gates......we could still be using the first binary code which was actually Moorse Code. Just a tad bit slower then what we are using today !!
Check the Teapotters challenge today for the teapot that MotherMark has given us for inspiration and the FPO address to send Kyler our cards. Even if you've never played a teapot challenge before ......this one is personal to every American.
Kyler's mother brought his story to us and we owe her and all of his family a debt of gratitude for raising such an upstanding son !!
Pray for Peace..............

What a great card! I learned to type on an IBM Selectric - the Nun (Sister Katherine) took the backs off of our chairs so we would sit straight and have perfect typing posture. To this day, I don't sit back in my chair when typing. Very pretty card!

I don't think of my old typewriter so fondly. Remember trying to use carbons? Remember typewriter erasers? Remember trying to white-out and type over anything? The computer is definitely an improvement!! I love your idea, and the star is perfect in RED!!

What a well said description! What a PERFECT and PATRIOTIC card! Kyler will LOVE this! LOVE the big red star, the stars and stripes ribbon, and the stars and swirls in the BG!
