I'm so happy for a head start challenge!!! Thanks, Julia! Well, I make several different cards for special family and friends. Then, I usually make a digital card from my own art or photo for everyone else.
This Stampin' Up! image is one of my favorites to color. I started with SU! atural paper and stamped with archival ink. Next step was the background. With sharpened Prismacolor Pencils, I drew the same type holly images as the stamped images, only much smaller. I color these and then erase the work I have just done until there only a faint image left (to my liking). The main image is colored next. Of course, I still adjust the smaller drawn images. LOL! Then, I cut with a stencil or Nestie. (I stenciled this oval and cut it by hand since this was before I got my Wizard and Nesties!) The matte was cut the same way with a Fiskars stencil. I layered it on my nestie leftover (I don't throw anything away!) and then matted it with Handsome Hunter.
The lower frame has a piece of holly print from The Paper Store, that I wanted to use. The acrylic sticker is from K & Co. The metal stickers are from Mark Richards. Its all mounted on the SU! Natural paper.
Well, I've rambled enough!!! LOL! Hope you like my bright representation. Thanks for looking!!! ~Chrysi~
