I hope this is not cheating, but when I saw this week's CAS (CAS83) challenge, I immediately thought of the faux postage technique. I have been wanting to try it, and had been somewhat skeptical. You can view the challenge here:
I got the tutorial off SCS tutorials. Now comes the confusion because I'm not the best in explaining how things are done, but here goes. There is a faux postage template that you can download, which I did. But from there, I printed off the sheet and scanned onto my computer. After scanning, I enlarged and adjusted to only 4 stamps rather than 6 (the template has 6). I printed off the enlarge version so that I could use the lighthouse stamp that I wanted to use utilizing my stamp positioner. After stamping, I colored all the images individually, and then rescanned in color. Why? So that I could then downsize, and then reprint to fit on this card. I have used this image in its normal size on another card in my gallery, which you can see here to get an idea of why I had to scan, enlarge, stamp, color, rescan, and then downsize. Here is my other card:
Both cards are the same size, A4, so you can see I had to do some adjusting to utilize this stamp. I hope my explanation above makes sense. It was the first time I ever tried this, and believe me, if I can do it, ANYONE can The sentiment is computer generated.
I thought this would make a great note card that could easily be used for men or women. What do you think? Again, thanks for looking, and I always appreciate your comments.
