I made this for the Flourishes July Release Week Challenge, What's Cookin'? The challenge was to share your favorite recipe in a stamped creation. I may have taken this to the extreme by writing out my recipe for cherry pie (my hubby's favorite dessert creation) on a lined index card and cutting into tiles to use in the Card Patterns Sketch #72.
Today's color challenge was perfect for what I had in mind for this card. CC279, Wild Cherry Mist, is a challenge to use wild wasabi, cherry cobbler, and marina mist. I don't have any of these colors yet, but I was able to find reasonable matches in my collection of cheap Paper Company card stock.
I stamped these luscious cherries from the Flourishes Peaches and Cherries set and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS and a paper blending stump. Finished off the card with some fibers, buttons, and machine stitching.
Size of card: 5.5" square
It sorta feels to me like this card is missing something, but I just can't think of what to do to make it right. I like it well enough, but I'm trying hard to love it.

Emzi, I love your quilted background with a real recipe. Bet it is scrumptious, too. Beautiful image of cherries and the inside is just delightful. Wonderful creation!!!

totally cool! I really like the written recipe parts - I was wondering where did you get a cool recipe DP - then I read that IT IS an actual recipe - have to try it someday too!
Thanks for joining us at Paper Sundaes this week!

So in order to make the pie, you have to be ambi-eye-strous, or take the card apart, right? How about if you just make me the pie, and slip it in the mail!! LOL!...Wait! That's a great idea!! Can you even imagine how much I love cherry pie??????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????? I am sick of humidity!!!!!

Oh, I don't think there's a thing missing, except the rest of the recipe as it looks and sounds YUMMY!! Emzi, this is SO PERFECT. I absolutely love the effect of the recipe panels, fibers, button treatment and fantastic image to match the theme. What more could one want, except a cherry pie right now!!! UUUUGGGHHH!! TFS!!
