I made a card using this wonderful stamp set by ginak, nana's needlework by nina bracket, yesterday for my grandma. I talked with my mom today and she said gma's sisters would all be mad if they didn't get one too... so this is the card I created for the other sisters. Each one is a bit different. Some have hearts, some have stars, some have the original quilt pattern. I thought today's sketch would work well with this. The shelf was stamped three times, using versafine vintage sepia, bg layer is entire shelf, second layer is the top and sides, third layer is just the top of the shelf. Each layer is on pop dots. The quilt was stamped by using markers on the stamp to eliminate the pattern inside the squares and they were replaced with this little flower. This too is on pop-dots. The vase w/flowers is a sarah beise stamp This was stamped twice, the purple flower and vase are popped up using pop-dots. The basket of yarn came with the nana's needlework set and that is stamped three times. The base is the entire image, the second layer is the basket and the pink ball of yarn, the third layer is the pink ball of yarn and the knitting needles... they were soooo much fun to cut around... I also got to play with my stampamagig for the first time tonight. I used it to stamp the sentiment which is from another ginak set masculine sayings. I colored the entire thing using zig photo markers that I picked up a yard sale this past weekend. They are real nice and light. The inside is stamped with a stamp by victorine originals and it says: I wanted to let you know what a wonderful person I think you are, so I decided to hand stamp a beautiful card and send it to you. I worked all day stamping, cutting, and layering until it was absolutely perfect. Then I dropped the stamp on it and smeared ink all over the front- so I had to send you this one instead.
