This is for Monday's CAS69 Challenge, to honor heroes.
To honor deployed military personnel abroad, my kids and I made cards on Memorial Day to send to the Operation Write Home organization, which collects blank handmade cards to send out to deployed military personnel so they can send them back to loved ones here at home! "Miss you" and "Love you" cards are the most-requested types of cards at OWH.
My 11-year-old daughter Joanna made this CAS "miss you" elephant card all by herself!! She is so proud that it will be used by a soldier to send a note home to a loved one. By the end of the week we will have a nice collection of cards to mail on to Operation Write Home.
Thanks for looking and taking time to leave a comment for my daughter!! She will be tickled.

I LOVE this Emily! Please tell your DD! I love the ellie image (elephants and dogs are my favorite animals) and I love the vibrant colorful paper she used too. These cards really are used by the deployed military personnel - my hubby has sent me two of them; the place where he is is frequently sold out of cards at the small BX they have there, and some folks are mobile and don't have a stationary BX to shop at - they pick them up from the Chaplains' offices or swift through baskets for some to bring with them before they fly. Thank you all so much for your time and generosity.
