I used today's sketch, SC283, to attempt--for the first time--a one-layer card. I'm not entirely pleased with how it turned out, but it was a good learning experience , so I'm glad I tried it. I know it may not LOOK like it's just one layer, but it is--I used a LOT of masking!!!
Also for Speedy the Cat's challenge to make a silhouette card, this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to make a one-layer card, and this week's Crafty Creations challenge to use the colors black, white, with a splash of red.

Emzi- that's really an interesting and lovely card!! I had to look for a while to take in all of the wonderful elements!! I love your silohetted portion - and your wonderful way of creating a one layer card!! The red background is really cool too!! Lovely card!!!
