This is a cool challenge, Holly! Thanks so much for making me go back in time.......
When I think back to childhood memories, the very first thing that pops up is the traditional "Christmas Cookie Baking" times. Every year, my mom, my grammy and my sisters would spend an entire weekend making up to 14-15 different types of cookies......all from scratch. Now that my grammy and my mom are gone, I try to keep the tradition up with my DIL and my boys girlfriends (whoever they are at the time! LOL!). My two sisters both have daughters and they have kept the tradition going with their DD's and DGD's. We all have a recipe book with all of grammy's and mom's recipes. They were precious times.....way back when.
Anyway, before I get teary eyed, onto my card. The bg dp's are DCWV. This sweet image was a RAK from Anne Ryan, I believe. Darling, isn't she......(the image and Ms. Ryan! :P). I colored with Prismacolored pencils, stickles and metallic silver pen.
The bow is done with Mr. Bow Easy. I hand wrote the sentiment, used scalloped scissors for the top. I added the green and red dew drops. The image is cut out with nesties. I think that is it.
Thank you for allowing me to share my childhood memory with you!
What do you think?

What a sweet story! I had a GM I called Grammy, too. Lesley, you surely do not look or act like you're old enough to have a DIL and sons old enough to have girlfriends! Yikes, I'm talking to an old lady? Whatever, your card matches your story perfectly. You couldnt have chosen a better image than this magnolia to convey your childhood memories!

Yes, this is darling. How fun you called your GM grammy. I did too. In fact, I've told all my children to refer to me as grammy. Finally the kids all call me that, so I'm in heaven. What a wonderful legacy your grammy and mom left for their family. It's really special to keep those traditions going! your card is priceless.
