This was the card I took for our North Texas Stamp Day event. I'll try to give you the important tips on it...
Ink the rectangles stamp and stamp it off once on scrap paper. Then take the big snowflake stamp (uninked) and press it onto the rectangles stamp 3 times. Huff if needed and stamp the retangles stamp onto the white layer. The kissing with the snowflake makes the snowflakes appear white in the final image. Then add the words and blue sparkles.
The hinges are something I came up with as a play on Cami tabs. I was working with the tabs and decided that they could work as a hinge instead of having a regular side-fold card. The hinges are folded strips of cardstock (longer than the ones cut using the Paper Piecing Punch), cut at an angle. Unfold them and put mono on the right side of the fold. *Do not put adhesive on the entire left side of the hinge... only put it on the far left side* Otherwise, your hinge with get glued to the bottom blue layer and you will not be able to lift the flap (uh, yes, I do know this from experience!). The second pic in my gallery explains this, also. Adhere the hinges to the back side of the bottom blue layer and the top side of the white layer.
Pull up on the ribbon and it reveals the sentiment and a place to write your message! I'm thinking of doing a similar card for Christmas with the back blue layer being a full card, then putting our Christmas picture under the red layer, and the sentiment/letter on the inside of the blue card.

Okay, Jess, I totally screwed up my card. I apparently didn't read instructions or something, because I totally taped the snowflake portion/layer of the card down to the red portion and taped that all down to the blue layer, which means that I taped the ribbon down as well. What the heck was I thinking. I need a new card. When I come back out there, I am going to be stamping over at your mom's and you can show me then how to do this one. Okay...

As my cousin and I always say... this card is so "fetch" (ever see mean girls?). Anyway, I can't wait to make this... the instructions are very helpful and I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE PHOTO VERSION. Right in to favs!
