Congrats to Laurie! I enjoyed your wonderful gallery. I chose Recessed Window Box to case. I kept similar colors and a floral image, but I changed it to a side step card and added a few more details.
I also made this as as my second entry for the LSC259. In honor of President's Day, we were making our cards with a connection to a President. As a native Texan, I saw first hand a lot of Lady Bird Johnson's efforts to beautify and preserve our natural wild areas, parks and highways. There's nothing quite as awe inspiring as seeing a field of bluebonnets (the Texas state flower) and Indian paintbrush in the spring.
This is also my second attempt at the TLC257 side step card. I followed the directions but flipped the layout. I used markers direct on the rubber of all images. The blue c/s behind the bluebonnets was embossed w/ a stars folder. I embossed a piece of white c/s and cut out a few white stars. The front L shaped blue c/s is my version of faux embossing with punches and die cuts. I did a tutorial for this at Splitcoast, but since it was for the Dirty Dozen, you'll need to be a Fan Club member to view it. After making my faux embossed panel, I spritzed it w/ water and embossed the whole thing w/ a piece of vinyl canvas for a little texture.
The larger, white Texas is a die cut. I used a stars and moon border punch across the top left as well as a pair of scallop scissors.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Gorgeous, Julie! Love this vibrant blue, and all the great symbolism! You've got me singing, and remembering my physical therapy school days down in Galveston at UTMB! ;)

Wow Julie! This just pops in the gallery. I love what you did here. The sentiment is so cool and the shade of blue is beautiful. Your photograph is awesome, as all of yours usually are!
