I was inspired by this scarf from the Echo site. I pretty much cased the scarf and added to it. Great site Stephanie!
-Die cut felt with the smallest of the small circle set of Nestabilites which is approx. ¾”. That was placed on the Velcro block and inked up with Pearl alcohol ink. Place it on the cardstock and pulled to the bottom/top edge and then do the same procedure using Latte alcohol ink.
-Hand cut a piece of scrap paper to form a scallop mask. Place it on the cardstock and using the felt and block load with the Pitch Black alcohol ink and go across the center first then when the felt is low on ink hit the dipped area for the scallops. The ink will run thatÂ’s why itÂ’s best to do the dipped area last. Repeat the procedure in the opposite direction so you form a scalloped band across the card.
-Ink up a piece of scrap cardstock with Shell Pink and punch the flowers.
-I paper sculpted the flowers and butterflies using a metal ball stylus and a folded paper towel as a cushion.
-Alcohol ink is great for changing the color of metal brads and the flower centers were gold brads that were colored with Pitch Black.
-The butterflies are Martha Stewart punches, ink distressed with the color tea dye using a cotton swap and glued to the card. If the ink ran and wasnÂ’t pretty, the butterflies did a great job covering it up.
-The bottom flowers/foliage were randomly stamped, the top ivy was stamped using a stamp positioner.
