This is an updated version of the very first card I ever uploaded to SCS. I learned some new ways to improve the card by experimenting. My lightening and sky colors look better by using the H2o brush.
Mask off the sky and ground portion with paper. I colored the elephant first then colored over with a crayon to resist the ink from the brayer.
This card is headed to Iraq to some soldiers whose homes and family were in the Katrina hurricane.

Roxie,
I would love to know more about the clear resist technique. I understand how you used the crayon but I don't understand the ink you referred too. Please help me.

I don't know how you could pick one or two favorites from all your work--my mouth drops open when I look at your cards. Your work is always so incredible. This one is exceptional.

I totally loved this card when I saw it last time and I swear I commented on it but I don't see that now.... not sure what happened to it. I still love it! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful.
