Here's my card for this month's Dirty Dozen Central Theme - Touchable Texture. I used this week's Sketch Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers for the layout.
I started with a Whisper White card base. The next panel of Whisper White cs was embossed with SU's Petals-A-Plenty Impressions Folder. (Oh, love this embossing! You can't help but touch it.) I then added a strip of Textured Old Olive cs with a Whisper White Jumbo Brad. For my main panel, I started with Border Blue cs and stamped the stars with VersaMark. On Whisper White scraps, I stamped the shorter tree with Craft Old Olive and the bigger tree with a combination of VersaMark and Always Artichoke ink and clear embossed both. I cut them out and set them aside. I grabbed some more Whisper White scraps, tore the top edges and applied Dazzling Diamonds along the edges with my Two-Way Glue Pen. I then put my snowy together and added the Merry Christmas rub-on.
After all this - I realized that I had some how gotten a small blue smudge on the white card base! Oh! No! That's okay, though, it was an opportunity to embellish, so I snagged the corner stamp from the set, inked it up with Old Olive and stamped right over that smudge. Phew! Crisis averted! LOL...
