I'm availing of Cindy's sneak preview for the teaparty tomorrow, as seen on HER BLOG last week. It's also the moon, from her current challenge on the CCEE Challenges.
I don't have one single lighthouse stamp.
This template came from Circle of Crafters.
Plan A was to put the scripture verse *Your Word is a lamp unto my feet* on it.
DH says plan A, while not criminal, would be a shame. A big shame. And he wants to send this card to a friend, so plan A bit the dust. To be honest, I don't know where I'd have put it, except to cover the ground under the lighthouse, which I am not very happy with.
A2 dark navy base. The main panel was white card, cut out the lighthouse, masked the sun and sponged the background - Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood. Masked the background and sponged the moon - Antique Linen. Did the iris folding with foil papers. Edged the panel with gold, and added lightbeams coming from the lighthouse.
Where I grew up, if I climbed to the top of the big pine tree outside my window, I could see at least 3 lighthouses. And my brother had the coolest lighthouse bedside locker that my dad made. The bottom was big enough to be a dolls house for us to play with, two floors, with a door that hinged out. Then there was a smaller level with two more floors, again with a door. Then there was a little cage at the top with the light in it. I can't believe my brother let it go the first time they moved house! FOr dolls house, please read teddy bears - for both my brother and me .

Sabrina, I love how you used the iris fold to make your lighthouse. It's truly beautiful. I can't imagine being able to see three at one time (or climbing a tree that high either)! What an experience. Thanks for sharing that today.

Sabrina, this is gorgeous! Love your papers, folding and moon! I guess I should have taken a peek at the gallery before posting my shabby little lighthouse. This is a real stunner, girl!

Beautiful job - the texture on here is amazing. I love it! How smart to do a night scene with that moon - that is when light houses really shine (hee, hee). You could always put the plan A sentiment inside (I like your idea but you and your DH are right, you don't want to cover up any of this beautiful card front). Great job.

Wowzers! You brought this amazing beauty to a teapot party! Are you crazy? Haven't you heard about the food flinging Charlene? Better cover this up quickly. In fact, I'd frame this under thick glass. It is way to stunning to get messed up. Love it Sabrina. Simply beautiful! TFS :0)

This is beautiful iris folding, Love the silver strip and the big bright moon. You almost don't need the light house on this night due to the bright moon!

Oh my WORD, Sabrina, this is STUNNING! Love LOVE that lighthouse and the brilliant colors and moon behind it...must have been a picture of the night BEFORE the tea party, because it is so serene! Never knew what was going to hit it, poor Mr. Lighthouse!
