2) Ways To Use It challenge (WT229) to use office supplies in a card
3) This week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC2 to use scoring in a card.
I didn't get a chance to play along with WT229 earlier, and I thought it would be fun to use office supplies in a card. Over the weekend I found a pack of these super fun, super fancy paper clips in the clearance bin at Staples and *couldn't wait* to use them!!
My main gift for my sister's upcoming birthday is a collection of handmade birthday cards that she can send or give to friends and family over the next year. Shopping for cards is one of her most dreaded activities and she never has time (and no supplies) to make them. So I figured she'd love a set that she didn't have to pick out herself! I was getting ready to bundle them up in a clear 5-pocket plastic portfolio (from the Target Dollar Spot) for presentation when I realized that I was kinda short on masculine birthday cards for her collection. So I went with a masculine color scheme and straightforward, non-frilly embellishments. The inside reads "On your birthday . . . just sitting here thinking of you!"
I scored the black and white panels on the bias to add some texture. Panels are popped up on dimensionals and adhered to a light gray card base. The chair image was colored with colored pencils and is affixed with black photo corners. I added three black brads and one of my fun new black/white paper clips.
This should nicely round out the card set for my sis! Thanks for looking,
Emily

Cool chair. Love that clip with the cool circle thing. Awesome card with a neat vintage chair. TFS :0)
