This little pack back was harder than I thought it would be. I discovered when making it that the directions and the template were different. The directions said to score the top flap at 1" and 1 1/4" those are different from the template. The template showed the score lines at 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". At first I wasn't sure which to use. Faith told me that she used the template to make hers, so that is what I did. I did not use the same ribbon for the straps and the closure. I decided to use twine to close the front. I added faux stitching and quilled roses.

Paper: ?dp, light blue, dark blue and green cardstock
Ink: none
Accessories: quilling tool, velcro sticky dots, twine, ribbon, paper crimper
Techniques: quilling, packpack box
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 4 just because of the mix up in the directions. I am also a very visual learner and the photos were not easy for me to see.

I had to come check out your backpack after reading about your struggles with where to score the flap. You definitely got it worked out! This is awesome!!! I love the colors and the cute flowers! Fantabulous job on this challenge. I sat out today because I have five of these sitting in my stash of completed projects and have other things on my plate!

Awesome job here MariLynn. I had to skip this one. Instructions were too long for me, plus I had to work late. Love yours tho! Lovely colors. Are those flowers quilled? Of course they are. Fabulous job. TFS :0)
