This card is for two challenges today, the CAS sketch and LSC to use a die cut. I had bought this cow die cut a long time ago on sale. Never used it until today. Now I know why is was on sale. One of the plates are missing. The one with the tail and cow body. So I had to improvise a tad here and make my own cow body and tail. Hope that is allowed.
So, did my improvising and die cutting on white cs. I then did a little doodling on the cuts to bring out the image more. Coloring was done with re-inkers.
Put my cow together on white cs popping up the head. Added a panel of stamped gingham on the bottom and the last of my ribbon. Layered this with black cs.
Put this on a white card that I had put some free digi dp that I can't remember where it came from. I do know it was awhile ago and it went perfectly with my colors today.
That is pretty much it. Hope you like it!......TFL :0)

Holy COW, Cathy! LOVE this!! The cow, the gingham paper . . . everything about this is terrific (and the patterned paper in the background is PERFECT for this!)!

Too cute!! Love the cow die cut--you did a fab job with improvising to complete her. Great color and paper choices, too. Great job on this challenge!!

What a pretty cow! Love the body and tail, good job Cathy. You know when I first saw this I thought "Oh no, brown cow!" Guess I heard this in a movie or something, it's just so funny, well to me anyway. Beautiful sketch and take on the ic. Love it. Beware of die cut on sale...I will. LOL

So cute! Your improv paid off well! I love the image, your coloring, and the DP is perfect for this card.
Your die cut may end up working for Teapot Tuesday this coming week too since it has a cow theme of some kind.
You are on a farm theme the last few days which I love! I was a city girl my whole life but have lived on a very small farm for two years now and love it (I just wish I could find a way to get around the bugs). By the way, I have a red angus cow named Allie and her tuff on her head looks just like it. I have threatened to put a bow on it and take a picture so I can use it on a card but my husband strongly disapproves of that idea (I may do it anyway since he disapproves of my picture on here which includes him and I keep it anyway).
Looking forward to your next card!

Oh Nutmeg, how fabulous is this? Only you could buy something that was busted or had missing pieces. When you're as talented as you are, you dont need all the parts or pieces. I love your cow. Your card reminds me of schirmcat's style: very primitive and very cute. Look....do I see ribbon there? What happened...did you throw that easy bow making plastic thing away? Ah ha, I see you just tied a small knot and called it quits. It's fabulous, and so is this card. It's really a hoot if I say so myself.
