Here's another card for the CAS23 challenge. I was inspired by this print by Paul Brent: Scarlet Macaw which can be seen here: http://www.art.com/products/p1029200...1dfb043700e90b
It is hard to tell from this photo that the macaw is cut out and popped up with dimensionals and the green and white background and mat are also popped up on the yellow mat. Also, the yellow mat really is even but doesn't look that way due to the angle of the photo. I brayered the background (which started out a lot larger) with Green Galore and Gable Green. Then I used the fern from PTI Text Box set and stamped it all over with the Gable Green. I then cut it down to the current size so that the macaw's tail would go beyond the background and matting. I stamped the macaw in Smokey Shadow and colored it in with SU! markers.

Love the colors here, Harriet!! That macaw is gorgeous, and even though the popping doesn't show, I'm sure IRL this is fabulous........it is here!!

Ohhh, I love this! So colorful and fun!! My brother and sil are in Costa Rica right now and I bet they've seen the real thing close up, but I know they would love this card!! TFS!
