It's almost 5/29/09!!!! Almost Friday! I want to go to bed and won't have time tomorrow to upload, so I'm doing it now.......it's ALMOST time!!!!! OK? :P
For the TSC0529 challenge, we were to do a wood faux technique (I don't exactly know what that is...) along with the colors of red and brown. Well, after MUCH deliberation, I decided that only thing, beside a tree, that I know would be faux wood is a hardwood floor. This may be stretching the challenge a bit, but that's how my twisted mind works!!! Heehee!
I drew the floor and colored in with colored pencils. I used Flourishes "A Man's View" stamp set to stamp the paper, chair and shoes. The chair is stamped directly onto dp. The paper and shoes are stamped onto white cs and colored. I pop dotted the shoes and the paper on the floor.
The wall is red cs and I hope that you can tell that on the right side, I tried to make a curtain to match the recliner with a little bit of a window. My hubby didn't get it.......he said, "Hmmm, what is THAT?". I told him it's a window and curtain. He just stared at the card and went...."Well, if you REALLY concentrate, I GUESS you can tell that it's a window!". So, if you are having trouble telling what the thing is on the right upper corner of the card......REALLY CONCENTRATE and you might just see a curtained window! :P
The sentiment is stamped on white cs with Stazon Jet Black ink and mounted to look like a picture. I drew a line for the cording and placed a brad for the screw. On the floor, the sentiment says....Kick back and Relax. It didn't turn out real dark.
So, please let me know what you think, k?

Very nice, I think this is so relaxing and such a great card for a Dad. I love all the things in this scene. I knew right away it was a curtain and window...men! Ya gotta love em! TFS
