This weeks Twisted Sister Challenge is to make a card with Plum, Pink and Grey, add some brads and use SC185....I worked away happily colouring the GORJUSS GIRL that I stamped off last week from my good friend Melinda80, who so generously let me stamp off her new set of them (YAY Melinda)! I chalked the image, layered it on the grey and pink, used my Scalloped Border Punch for the corners and added it all to the papers that were part of a FLOURISHES win that I was so thrilled to have back in March...it was all looking good until....
....I had a thought....(yes I do think during the card making process! LOL!) I went to my SU Catty and saw that....we have had our first 'cultural difference 'PLUMS ARE NOT PURPLE!!! I have put one of our beautiful Australian plums next to my card so you can see the reason for the colour I used...THIS IS PLUM!!!! So I am sorry that my 'plum' is not the same as your 'plum' girls...but....c'mon the photo says it all. By the way - that plum is HUGE, my card is not small!
I have made this card with Mother's Day in mind...all Mum's know that PLUM is PLUM! LOL!!! This is also for the Flourishes Challenge, with beads, The OCCC and CCEE for Mother's Day Cards.....oh and I have to say...I did use pearl beads instead of brads....because brads just looked plain UGLY in this - so sorry about that - but there is a reason we are called the ' TWISTED SISTERS!'
The truth behind this will be on my BLOG!!
Thank you for looking - let me know what you think - is plum 'plum' or is it purple....LOL!!! I look forward to hearing your opinion...
EDIT: No plums were hurt in the taking of this photo!
