I made this for today's IC.
In the middle of the night I remembered that my nephew who lives in MA has his birthday next week. I haven't even got any dollars to send him, so I can't post the card till I've been to a bank next week - I'll have to send an e-card to arrive on the day. Yikes...
I looked at the page on the French Bull website that showed all the different patterns. Now, I just love the black and white harlequin, but as soon as I saw the Cabana Stripe, I remembered this KI Memories Pop Culture paper, and thought it would work with a boy's card. I also used the sketch challenge for this week, because I thought it suited the rocket going off at an angle.
The base is an A2 black card. The next layer is the Pop Culture paper and some Black Magic Core'dinations embossed with Swiss Dots and sanded, to show a purple core. I added some silver card cut with decorative scissors along the seam, and edged the whole panel with silver ink and EP.
The image was stamped twice, once on the reverse side of the Pop Culture and once on white. I coloured the white image, cut it out and stuck it onto the base layer. The matt layer under that is more Black Magic, embossed with Spots and Dots and sanded to show a red core. I added some more little thinner strips of silver card.
The sentiment is Hero Arts, stamped on black card with silver ink and EP, up on foam dots with a red star brad in the centre.
